29 oktober, 2009 - kl. 18:00 till 21:00
Swedish Development Forum, FUF, and the Centre for Sustainable Development at Uppsala University, in cooperation with “Ethos International” and Sida invite you to a seminar on Corporate Citizenship.
The relationship between citizen organisations and the business community is moving in a new direction, where the ‘corporate responsibility’ mindset from a decade or two ago is growing into a somewhat broader approach of ‘corporate citizenship’, says Kumi Naidoo. This raises a number of questions: To what communities does corporate citizenship have obligations? Has the contract between business and these communities changed? If so, how can both business and civil society organisations re-value the relationship? How does business make a sustainable contribution to furthering justice, whilst retaining its own profit-based interests? How do civil society organisations re-evaluate their contributions to the relationship with business?
Keynote speaker: Dr. Kumi Naidoo, former Secretary General of Civicus, South Africa, incoming General Director of Greenpeace International Discussant: Dr. David Rönnegard, research fellow – Corporate Social Responsibility at INSEAD, Paris, based in Stockholm Welcome !
Venue: Oasen, Sida, Valhallavägen 199, Stockholm
