Welcome to the Swedish Development Forum (FUF)
Swedish Development Forum is a non-governmental organisation, NGO. FUF was founded 1972 and is politically and religiously independent. At present FUF has approximately 900 members. FUF’s activities are mainly based on memberships fees, information grants from The Swedish International Development Authority (Sida) and Folke Bernadotte Academy.
FUF’s aim is to provide information and raise awareness on global development issues, to support mutual understanding and cooperation. By offering an independent forum for discussion and exchange of ideas between people with different experienes and opinions, FUF hopes to contribute to enhanced knowledge about global development and dedication to a sustainable world.
Seminars, debates and lectures
FUF arranges 20-40 public seminars each year on current global issues, with a main focus on developing countries and development cooperation. At the seminars, prominent people within the development sector, politicians, academics, activists etc. discuss various issues concerning global development. FUF also gives particular seminars, meetings and other information activities for students and other young adults. Roughly 25-50 % of FUF’s seminars are held in English. All seminars are open to anyone who wishes to participate. FUF’s office is located in Stockholm at Karlbergsvägen 66A.

As a member of FUF you get free entrance to all of our seminars, you get to nominate for the FUF prize, you can apply for our many internships and much more.
